Mahdi is not the Antichrist since he has to be a Jew (as Jesus said “you will receive one who comes in his own name”, i.e. another like me coming to the Jews as Messiah but not from God), but he will pave the way by bringing all muslims, sunni and shiite into one fighting force. This will full the prophcey of Ezekiel 38 when they are led by Russia against Israel in WWIII.
