The founder of Islam took the name for his new god from the Bablylonian moon goddess.

His father was an idol maker and offered little god figures including one of her, Allah.

Her symbol was the crescent moon with the morning star. Have you ever wondered where that symbol came from? .. not a cross, not a star of David, but an astrological conjunction.
